I am a walking miracle!

It is true, the very fact that I am here and alive today is nothing less than a miracle. How did I survive childhood? I mean seriously, my parents and teachers must have been out to get me.
They just sat back and allowed me to play conkers, climb trees, get dirty and play outside and run in the school playground….yes folks, I said run! It is true, they used to allow all of those things.
Where were the child protection authorities when I was forced to enter sports day events where someone was allowed to WIN?? Why were they allowed to scar me with games where not everyone was a winner?
How did I cope without counselling when somebody called me a nasty name, or without Injurylawyers4U when I got into a fight at school or tripped on a paving slab?
But the worst of all, the things I survived without loss of life or limb which clearly makes me some kind of miracle…..I went to school when it snowed. Yes, it’s true, sometimes I even walked!
Hmmm, strangely none of my friends were maimed, scarred, disabled or killed by doing any of that stuff either…..
We are ALL miracles!!!

Alwynon 08 Jan 2010 at 2:13 pm 3Well for starters there would be a form to get permision to go out for the day?Actually thinking about it I don't think they could provide a form for our impulse rambles!Far too dangerous! And even though our Male Teacher was respected and trusted (I secretly thought he was a wise man and try to teach us the ways!) now adays he would of been called a perv for letting us swim…But yes if there were forms to fill out there would be alot!

Katiaon 16 Jan 2010 at 3:34 am 6Oh guess what they taught me in college last semester during some of my training to become a teacher. Teachers are now being FORBIDDEN to grade papers in RED ink. They say it is too dramatic of a color and destroys students' self esteem! So now we are only supposed to use PURPLE. PURPLEt is supposed to be a soothing color, unoffensive to the psyche of young children. I wish I was making this stuff up!
