3 day detox – Day 3
Posted by Hengest on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009
Well I made it to the final day and just needed to get to about 6pm. Fortunately I managed to busy myself today by visiting my friends tattoo shop and so didn’t really think about food. Even when one of the shop staff went out for food I found it very easy to decline.
So, what did the scales have to say about the last 3 days? Well I have lost approx 8 pounds so that is pretty pleasing and a good kick start. I am now at a lower weight than I have been for a long time at 229 pounds (16st 5) having gone up to 245 over the last 6 months.
I must say, although there were a few occasions when food was calling to me, on the whole I found this pretty easy. I think the first day was the hardest but that was mainly due to trying to munch my way through raw veg!
Anyway, so having got to 6pm today I treated myself to Sea Bream on a bed of shallots, mushrooms, spinach leaves all fried up in olive oil with some tomato purée which I have to say was very nice, although now, later in the evening, I am finding that the shallots are coming back with a windy vengeance!!
I would recommend a detox to anyone who wants to kick start a diet or just to get rid of some of the crap from their body. Be prepared for the cold symptoms on the second day, but they are not severe and are just your body reacting to the toxins in your system.
