Yesterday my eldest, Hakon was playing Runescape on the laptop and rather than put the laptop down and risk one of the other kids getting it, he took it to the toilet with him!

Enter youngest son, Taran, who picks up this squidgy toy filled with water which proceeds to burst, spilling its contents all over the laptop keyboard.

Rather than switch the laptop off and turn it over onto a towel, Hakon had the bright idea of using his mum’s hairdryer to dry things out.

Great idea Hak’…….. except you just melted 16 of the keys!!!!!!! And this on the day he came home from school with an award for scientific innovation!

So, typing on our few month old laptop is now almost impossible. Fortunately I think I can get new keys individually.

The laptop will, in future, remain downstairs.
